We were established in the 1970’s by husband and wife team Tony & Eileen Clarke. Eva their daughter joined the business in 2002. Eileen sadly passed away in 2015 and Tony has since retired for the business but he still has a huge impact as a trusted advisor and Dad, everyone loves their Dad!!
We have built huge loyalty in Limerick. I have heard a few grandmothers in our shop saying they remember getting their books here when they were children. We have built this loyalty by being friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We pride ourselves on having stock available when the customer needs it. We make the process of getting school books as easy as possible you will see this both online and in our shop.
Eva Tony Clarke’s daughter runs the business now. She studied in UCC and worked in Banking in Dublin before joining the business full time in 2002. Eva is married to Peter and has three lovely children Aoileann, Ben & Dougie. Each of them is completely different from the next which brings plenty of challenges. They are great fun to be around, well mostly ☺
She is deeply passionate about education and absolutely adores reading to her children who have an insatiable appetite for being read to. Her eldest daughter devours books and she hopes the two boys will follow in their big sister’s footsteps.
She understands the demands on parents so tries to make buying the school books easy. She has done this by choosing staff who are professional, efficient and friendly. She also understands how organisation is key to family life and brings a professional and dependable feel to the business.
Eva is very enthusiastic, professional but also loves a bit of fun. She brings a positivity and efficiency to the shop, which comes across to customers when they shop with us.
